NDT BOBATH for CHILDREN
The NDT-Bobath is one of the main methods used in the rehabilitation of children. The essence of therapy is to set certain, specific short- and long-term goals to the patient. Much emphasis is placed on the function and problem analysis. It is used mainly in patients with neurological and orthopedic problems and children with various developmental and psychomotor delays. Therapist facilitates the natural movements. It is important to start therapy as soon as possible after diagnosis. An element of therapy is proper care, i.e. lifting, carrying, dressing, feeding or bathing. Adequate play with your baby can be helpful in maintaining the therapeutic effect. There is importance of cooperation: child-parent-therapist. Choosing and matching the right supplies (orthoses, standing frame, feeding chairs, spoons to eat) can support the therapy.

NDT BOBATH for ADULTS
It is an effective therapy for patients after stroke, brain injury, aneurysm, brain tumor, complicated neurosurgical operations. The basis of Bobath therapy is the analysis of the motor control disorders and the patient’s body posture. The physiotherapist identifies the problem and tries to restore movement control by working closely with the patient. The patient should be as active as possible during the therapy, the therapist only supports movement. Patient learns to activate core muscles and to do the correct movement or transfer. The physiotherapist uses a number of stimuli, which in specific way stimulate the patient’s nervous system, so that the central nervous system can generate an optimal motor response. The way the patient is touched is important, because each tactile stimulus provokes a specific reaction of the nervous system. The main aim is the quality of movement and to make patient as independent as possible.
